17 - Solve Polynomial Equations & Roots of a Polynomial, Part 1
View more at https://www.MathTutorDVD.com. In this lesson, you will learn how to find the roots of a polynomial, which is also known as solving a polynomial equations when it is set equal to zero. Physically, the roots of a polynomial just means that we are solving for the values of "x" where the polynomial is equal to zero. In most cases, there are two roots of quadratic polynomials. There can be cases, however, when the parabola just touches the x-axis tangentially, and in that case we have what is known as a double root at that location of the x-axis.
